The Past
In 1999, with the encouragement of her husband, Karen West started selling quality quilts and related items to small specialty establishments in her locale. By merely introducing herself to "a purchaser" and showing them the product lines she represented, she was able to build a small following.
When her husband Gerald retired, he urged her to "stop pounding the pavement" and work smarter, not harder. Gerald having researched, to a limited degree, "that new technology called the internet" (and the business opportunities it afforded), was able to convince Karen to take the product lines she represented to the masses!
The Intermediate
GK West Enterprise was founded by Karen and Gerald West in 2001 and they released their first website almost immediately, "Kozy Komfort by Karen." Encouraged by the patronage of that site and the interest shown by others within the industry they decided to expand.
The Present
GK West Enterprise is a family owned & operated business concentrating on home textiles with several other endeavors in progress. Now they boast many different websites with a product range of linens to faux fur and all things in between. GK West Enterprise proudly offers retail services globally and wholesale services to the continental United States and Canada.
The Future
Given their actively expanding customer base and sourcing abilities, via 50+ manufacturers and distributors (not to mention their exclusive product lines) they're poised to service a growing sector of the home textile market for many years to come!
